Information about Johnston Canyon Resort

This Banff resort is located in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. It features an outdoor patio with barbecue area and a tennis court. Guest accommodation includes a TV with VCR. Hiking in the mountains is just one activity offered at Johnston Canyon Resort. Waterfalls, mountain outlooks and bird watching stations are located within walking distance of the property. The Resort Johnston Canyon restaurant offers American food and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A coffee bar and a gift shop are also located on-site. Every resort accommodation features a private entrance. Some feature a gas or wood-burning fireplace. This resort is 16 miles from Banff, Alberta and 25 miles from Lake Louise. The city of Canmore is a 23-minute drive away.

Please note, Parks Canada is closing the Johnston Canyon trail as of Wednesday 28 September 2016 for construction. The rest of the resort including the gift shop, restaurant, and cafe will remain open. The Falls will not be accessible, but the Ink Pots can still be accessed via the Moose Meadows trailhead.
