Ribnik is a village in Karlovac County, Croatia. There are 583 inhabitants. Ribnik is a small Croatian town in the southern Karlovac County, Central Croatia, not far from the Slovenian border.
Water castleIn Ribnik is a former water castle. The castle is situated in the valley of the creek Obvrh, which was dammed up, so that a large fish pond was created. The castle on an island was accessible via a drawbridge. The more visible part of the defense tower was originally very high. In the castle you can admire by the owner the permanent very well impressive architecture of Gothic and Renaissance.

Novigrad is a town and a municipality in southern Istria, north from the Novigrad. Novigrad is set on a small peninsula on the western coast of Istria, two kilometres north of the mouth of the river (Croatia) Mirna. The area covered by the municipality extends from the village of Dajla in the north to the mouth of the River Mirna in the south.
SightsNovigrad has retained its medieval structure and layout, with narrow, winding streets and small shops. The fortifications belong to the medieval era: the town wall still stands with its battlements and tow round towers. There are examples of secular architecture from the time of the Venetian empire, such as the town loggia and several houses built in Venetian Gothic style.
