Brela is a municipality in the Split-Dalmatia county. Village Brela is located on the Adriatic coastline of Dalmatia, about 15 km northwest of Makarska. SightsBesides the river Karišnica flows through Gornji Karin also stream Bijela Rijeka (White River). According to some reports, in Roman times there was building of an amphitheater for holding gladiatorial games. In Gornji Karin and surroundings there are several sights. One of them is a river Kraka canyon and waterfalls of Bijela Rijeka, as well as the Franciscan monastery, a natural mud and National Park.
