Dillingen on the Danube is a large county town and administrative headquarters of the district the same name Dillingen in the Bavarian administrative region Swabia. Dillingen is located in Northern Swabia, on the north bank of the Danube river in landscape Donauried.
SightsThe most famous person who has worked in Dillingen is probably the pioneer of hydrotherapy and the priest Sebastian Kneipp. Basilica of St. Peter is parish church in the city center. GörlitzGörlitz suffered almost no damage during the Second World War and has a number of protected historical, buildings and it is one of the best preserved old towns in Europe. It is the city with the most separately protected monuments in Germany. The house of the executioner- Finstetor- is located by the old town wall in the suburb of St. Nicholas. It is the only fully-preserved half-timbered house in the town. Already in the years 1234-1245 the Church of the Holy Trinity was built at the gates of the town.
