Silbach is part of the town in the region Winterberg in the district Hochsauerlandkreis, in the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia. Silbach is located in the northern highlands Rothaargebirge about 5 km northwest from the center of Winterberg. In the summer it is an ideal tourist area, the path leads to the Rothaargebirge mountains directly around the village. In winter Silbach is surrounded by an extensive network of well-kept trails. Hotels and guest houses in the village have an excellent reputation, and so many tourist spend in Silbach all holidays.
