Bremervörde is a resort town in the north of district Rotenburg / Wümme in Lower Saxony. It is located right in the middle of the rivers Elbe and Weser and the cities of Bremen and Hamburg. Bremervörde is in the landscape with many historical and agricultural buildings, surrounded by forests and heath. An attractive tourist destination is Lake Vordersee. Marked hiking trails invite you to ride a bike and also to walk around.

IslandIn the west Baltrum is separated by sea Wichter Ee from Norderney and in the east by sea Accumer Ee from Langeoog. They say, that the island called Baltrum because it were so small that was „bald rum“ („soon rum“). This alludes to the small size of the island. However, a complete circumnavigation of the island is about 15 km.
