Braunschweig is a city in Northern Germany in the southeast of the Land of Lower Saxony. Braunschweig is after Hannover the second largest city in Germany. Norderney is 14 km long, from the widest points to the west end and in the middle of the island its width is up to 2.5 km and with 26.3 km ² it is the tenth largest German island. The city is in region Lower Saxony.
