Bad Reichenhall is a large district and county city in the district Berchtesgadener Land in the administrative district of Upper Bavaria. The city is surrounded on all sides by mountains.
Spa townBad Reichenhall is a spa town with numerous salt springs and salt baths. Bad Reichenhall is a historical place of production of salt. There are several salt springs. You will find the parish church of St. Nicholas with the three-aisled Romanesque basilica from the second half of the 12th century with frescoes in the apse and with the Way of the Cross by Moritz von Schwind. There is a local history museum and salt museum, Gruttenstein medieval castle from the 12th century, castle Marzoll built around 1527 and the parish church of St. Valentine from the 8th century.

SightsThe historic town hall was originally built in the 14th century after the great fire in 1634 was rebuilt in 1636. The town is dominated by the Protestant Church of St. Nicholas in the heart of the pedestrian zone. On the hill Langert stands 26 meters high tower Aalbäumle.
