Leipzig is a county city in the Free State of Saxony in Germany. It forms a center for economics and trade, administration, culture and transportation in the southeastern Germany. Leipzig is a core of the metropolitan area of Leipzig-Halle, and therefore part of the metropolitan area Saxon Triangle.The city is a major transportation hub and is one of the strongest economic areas in the Saxony land. It is the city of Johann Sebastian Bach and fairground. The city is in region Saxony.
