Flensburg is a town in northern Schleswig-Holstein. The town is located in the district Flensburg in the northernmost part of the Land Schleswig-Holstein on the German-Danish border.
SightsFlensburg has a well-preserved old town with many attractions of the past few centuries. You will find here Church of St. John, the oldest church in the town from the 12th century, Church of St. Nicholas, the town gate Nordertor, windmills Bergmühle and Johannismühle, Maritime Museum, Museum of Art and History Museumsberg, Schleswig-Holstein State Theatre and Symphony Orchestra and the Danish theater Det Lille Teater. SG Flensburg-Handewitt is a team Hanbdball club, which currently competes in the German First Leaque of Handball.

In the southern Black Forest are large height differences between the peaks and valleys of energy storage of water to be used as pumped storage power plants, like the Hornberg reservoir or dam Schluchsee. As the name suggests, the Black Forest is rich in trees and forests and has been used traditionally for timber.
