Bad Dürkheim is a spa and county town in the metropolitan region Rhine-Neckar on the edge of the Pfälzerwaldes (Palatinate Forest). It is the seat of the district Bad Dürkheim. Bad Dürkheim is located on the eastern edge of the Palatinate Forest on the German Wine Road, about 30 km east of Kaiserslautern, and about 20 km west of Ludwigshafen and Mannheim. Approximately 15 km south of Neustadt an der Weinstrasse. Through Bad Dürkheim run the federal highways 37 and 271. From west to east the Isenach river flows through the city.

Wurstmarkt

The Dürkheim Wurstmarkt is a popular festival in the Rhineland-Palatinate. It is held annually on the second or third weekend of September and is with over 600,000 visitors as the largest wine festival in the world.
